Several volunteers from the library Lasalle will "read aloud" the text of their choice at the retirement home and raises the question: what texts to choose?

Georges Petit, on the forum " Reading High voi x" gives us these few guidelines:

An exciting choice ... and not so easy.

A good text:

Provides distraction, escape from everyday life,

resonates with listeners,

provides some "positive" comfort, philosophy, humor ...

Plait the reader.

What works well: (to me)

(a) Short texts good "story tellers"

(b) Extracts novels or stories about childhood, life in the "good old times ... "

(c) The storybooks different traditions ,

(d) Poetry: to "small dose .

What works less well and sometimes not at all:

The texts are too long (at least a good cut in the meeting or assembly )

Texts confused and stringy, too lengthy descriptions, too "intellectuals" too complex ...

Herbal Spice Smoke Recipe

Cake Metz

For 8-10 personnes.

4 œufs                                                 125 g flour

225 g caster sugar 2 dl cream

125 g dark chocolate Decor: 50 g icing sugar

Raper finement le chocolat.

Battez le sucre en poudre et les œufs pendant 10 minutes à la cuillère de bois ou 5 minutes au fouet électrique.

Ajoutez à ce mélange le chocolat rapé, la farine et enfin la créme fraîche.

Versez dans une moule à manqué soigneusement beurré et fariné.

Faites cuire au four 40 minutes environ à 190°C/th. 4-5. L’intérieur du gâteau reste moelleux.   Let cool, then unmold.

Sprinkle with icing sugar.

Decidedly, we are a bit jostled by nature these days. The weather is almost spring or side or downhill skiing (at home on weekends last there was 20cm of snow!).
