Ankle Injuries In A Ballerina

Inviter un écrivain

Readers are proposing to invite, from time to time writers to participate in public debate to present their latest book, or chat about their work.

Invite guess the writers ensure a minimum public: even if they are geographically close, we can not move for ten people! So we must imagine what would motivate a reader to come to such meetings.

For your part, if you had the opportunity to meet a writer: what would you talk to him? What do you know?
- That presents the character work?
- Create links with reality, with other literary and artistic?
- Talking about how to write (the practice of writing, style ...)?
- Anything else?

You imagine yourself in the position of Apostrophes (time by Bernard Pivot) or Denise Glaser (here much longer) desultory discussion with the author of a book you've read or you will read soon?

Who to invite? Perhaps a writer on holiday in the area, or living there permanently, who knows or who in fact part of his story? An author of general literature, regional, essays, biographies, books, documentaries, children's books?

Perhaps a writer and editor (or a bookstore)? Can you imagine a "public reading" of excerpts from his works (by himself or by a reader)?

Feedback and suggestions are welcome.

In the meantime you can go read on the website of Square Art Nimes the record of training devoted to just that ... What to do (or not do) when we invite an author. Two libraries in the region were represented (Ales and private).

Excerpts:

" For these meetings, the choice of an author may be from the need to know the work, the notion of desire, a team project and a working relationship with the institutions - the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs, the National Book Centre ... may be good advice, but also in partnership with publishers with whom direct contact is often complicit and friendly (Martine Cribier).
It can also be done from the importance of the work of writing, the place of the writer in creating the time "being in who invented the language today " (Jean-Gabriel Cosculluela). This is going further, to bring readers also to read, to discover, to "enlarge the land of reading"  (Jean-Gabriel Cosculluela) ."
" Chacun percevait, à cet instant, quelle que soit sa profession, l’importance du temps, de la durée, des éléments primordiaux dans tous les aspects du travail autour de l’écriture et de ses acteurs. Les bibliothèques, comme les écrivains, les éditeurs et les libraires, se doivent de lutter contre la rapidité, l’urgence, la consommation immédiate."

Heavy Bleeding With Noriday

Valentine a disparue... Qui la cherche vraiment ?
Entre satire sociale, polar contemporain et romance lesbienne, le nouveau roman de Virginie Despentes is a road-book that takes the reader between Paris and Barcelona, in the footsteps of all those who knew Valentine, the girl led astray ... The different characters without necessarily intersect to meet together, and eventually call on your sweet and powerful portrait of an era.
Christchurch, New Zealand. Joe Middleton control every aspect of its existence. Single, very caring for his mother, he works as a cleaner at the police headquarters in the city. This enables him to be aware of ongoing criminal investigations. Particularly that relating Boucher in Christchurch, a bloodthirsty serial killer accused of murdering seven women in atrocious conditions. Even if the procedures are similar, Joe knows that one of these women was not killed by the Butcher of Christchurch. It is even certain, for the simple reason that it is the Butcher of Christchurch. Displeased by this turn of fate, Joe decides to conduct his own investigation to unmask the plagiarist himself. And why not make him take responsibility for other murders. Sublime variation on the theme of the serial killer, this novel of astounding originality transforms all the genre clichés and reveals a new author, whose we have not heard the last.
Gregor has invented everything that's going to be useful for centuries to come. Unfortunately it is less able to look after his business, science interests him more than profit. Taking advantage of this trait, while others will steal it. To distract and occupy it, it does remain that the company and theater lightning bird. Biographical fiction without scruples, however, this novel uses the fate of the engineer Nikola Tesla (1856-1943) and stories that have been made.

" In the anonymity of a hotel room, one of the most powerful women of Germany gave to a man she does knew nothing, she had seen only twice in his life ... "
But after a few months, the man threatens to reveal their affair to the press, all their antics have been filmed. Juliana Kant denounces the millionaire gigolo. He was imprisoned, morality is almost saves.

Seborrhoeic Dermatitis Will Cause Hair Loss

I therefore agree with you word for word:

Staying in baking a cake with mythical madeleine. Why legendary? Because of that Marcel Proust is more myth than memory. In a draft of the Search of Lost Time, he describes the resurgence of memories associated with a d e tasting, but then there is little question that ... buttered toast. It's literary development, which ultimately transformed the prosaic madeleine biscuit in mythical, more worthy of inclusion in a real literary memory.
madeleine My childhood is that of Commercy created by Madeleine, who replaced the king of pastry Stanislaus at a reception hosted by the Duke of Lorraine. King regaled them as he named the name of the cake ... the maid

Best Place For A Baby Shower In Chica

HHhH Laurent Binet (roman)

Readers, readers, the pages of this blog are open to you: after several contributions about cookbooks from the library, here's another one on recently published a novel. It is up to you to comment on other novels, or other types of books (comics, art, history, philosophy, poetry, technical, science, etc. Photograhy). You just have to enter your text in the box "comment" at the bottom of this message. We will then give a message in itself.

Laurent Binet a search is older than 60 years held in Prague Street Resslova. Found on the basement window of the church, a plaque bearing the names of two heroes: Josef Gabčík Jan Kubis of Slovak and Czech.

" Heydrich, Eichmann assisted, fixed in a few hours procedures for implementing the" Final Solution "" . It was Himmler's right hand. The SS said "HHHH" ("The brain is called Himmler Heydrich)

In November 1941, President Hacha solemnly hands of the seven keys to his new master Prague: Heydrich . "Since Heydrich came, every day is a day of mourning. They hang, torture, deport you ... "

This book is original in its design. The author shares his doubts, his research: "When I talk about the book I am about to write, I say" my book on Heydrich, Heydrich is not yet supposed to be the main character. Heydrich was the target and not the actor of the operation. "

January 8, 1942, Operation Anthropoid was launched from London: Gabčík Kubis and have a mission to assassinate Heydrich. Dropped near Prague, they watch their prey, for five months, with many accomplices. Meanwhile, Heydrich announced: "the death sentence was imposed for all European Jews." Solutions larger, more sophisticated and ensuring more performance will come. " trucks or" gas chambers "mobile now insufficient. "More the pleasure of issuing a Scoop, I think it tastes Heydrich to verbalize the unprecedented and unthinkable, as if to have a little body to the unimaginable truth. " L. Binet said.

Paratroopers must find the perfect place to stop the Mercedes, killing Heydrich and attempt to flee. The turning of the street Holesovice almost hairpin should be fine. May 27, 1942: Heydrich was mortally wounded. Fury of the Nazis in Prague and prosecution. Revenge on hundreds of innocent until the betrayal of a man. A battle raged in this incredible small church in Prague.

How to Tell the Story? The author continually alternates between fiction, history and its reflection. He is obsessed with the historical truth. ... A book to read. In my opinion, a great success. A novel? In all cases a well-documented book for those who love history. It is also a book that allows those that repels History, an easy approach to these dramatic days.

Laurent Binet, 37 years is an Associate of Arts and a teacher.
He received this book for the Prix Goncourt 2010 first novel

Using Ladder Rack For Tent

Lectures des lecteurs vendredi 18 février

"The man who reads orally exposed absolutely. If he really reads, if puts his knowledge into beating his pleasure, if his reading is an act of sympathy for the audience as for the text and its author, if he manages to make us understand the need to write in activating our darkest needs to understand, then books open wide, and the crowd of those who believed themselves excluded from playing behind him is engulfed. " Daniel Pennac, "Like a novel."

Some read aloud is a passion there are even websites that are devoted to this activity as " audio playback" which offers a selection of 1600 books read by amateurs. But for most of us is above all an opportunity to discover an author, a book that we would not have had the opportunity to know otherwise. Are those who like to read this form of expression, others who only listen are welcome too.

My Dogs Urine Was Black

Lectures à la maison de retraite

old woman or young woman? Who can say ( looking one behind the other and vice versa )?

Several volunteers from the library Lasalle will "read aloud" the text of their choice at the retirement home and raises the question: what texts to choose?

Georges Petit, on the forum " Reading High voi x" gives us these few guidelines:

An exciting choice ... and not so easy.

A good text:
Provides distraction, escape from everyday life,
resonates with listeners,
provides some "positive" comfort, philosophy, humor ...
Plait the reader.
What works well: (to me)
(a) Short texts good "story tellers"
(b) Extracts novels or stories about childhood, life in the "good old times ... "
(c) The storybooks different traditions ,
(d) Poetry: to "small dose .
What works less well and sometimes not at all:
The texts are too long (at least a good cut in the meeting or assembly )
Texts confused and stringy, too lengthy descriptions, too "intellectuals" too complex ...

EXAMPLES:

a) short texts good storytellers:
"Tales of the Woodcock "- Guy de Maupassant - The Pocket Book
The mending-That Pig Morin Hooves - Pierrot ...
" Letters from My Mill "- Alphonse Daudet-Le Livre de Poche
The secret of Master Cornille-Stars-The Cure-Cucugnan The goat of Monsieur Seguin.
"The Treasure of the Alpilles" Plon-Yvan Audouard
Hold Up in Perth-The terrible vengeance Euloge of Four Die-white stones in the palm of the hand-An accident incomprehensible.
"The tree of lies" - Marcel Scipio - Seghers
The tree lies pitchoun-Lou-The-deserter
Solitude of Mercy "- Jean Giono - Gallimard
Solitude of Mercy - The labor of Jofroi Maussan-
b) books that is easy to extract passages like little news.
"The blue cart" - René-Plon Barjavel
"The glory of my father"-Marcel Pagnol-Bordas
"The First Man - Albert Camus - Folio
"The Promise of Dawn, Romain Gary - Folio
" Small happiness "- Bernard Clavel-Albin Michel
autobiographical Series on Youth of the author.
"The shower of gold" - Henri Béraud-visibility
Childhood Lyon.
c) Tales of the different traditions:
"The tree of love and wisdom" - Henry Gougaud - Points Seuil
stories mother-son Four-Trunk-Nurudin the Franciscan-The three keys-etc.
Tales of Wise Jewish, Christians and Muslims "- Jean-Jacques Fdida-Threshold
The road to paradise-The heart of the mother's three brothers and camel-etc.
d) Poetry:
Anthologies and, for example:
"And why beat up my heart you "- Jean d'Ormesson-Folio.
Old Song's younger days (Victor Hugo) - The cherry season (Clement)
Roses of Saadi (Desbordes-Valmore)-Travel (Baudelaire)-etc.

Decidedly, we are a bit jostled by nature these days. The weather is almost spring or side or downhill skiing (at home on weekends last there was 20cm of snow!). This does not change: energy my Pitchouns, expressed this time in long walks. Towards four hours, their appetite is sharp and a small snack needed. go back to basics: why not offer a slice of Metz cake, moist and lightly sprinkled de chocolat   finement rapé?

What Happened To Sun Stock

That's about the mindset of Friend (s) coming from the library select books in the Bookmobile! Usually, a bookstore, you take one, two or three books ... Many make you want but it must be reasonable! There can be unreasonable: novels, books on art, documentaries, police, philosophy, adventure, comic drawings, illustrations, manga ... and even books on tape ...
Pell himself (but neatly on the shelves of the bus!) Everything is within reach of six pairs of "eyes bigger than your stomach!

Well, that's true, we will not read any, but you can if you want! It is a great upheaval to choose, bear boxes, making the old books, new record, classify, verify etc etc!

But what satisfaction after this sudden stream of air into the premises of the library! With an appetite refurbished by the novelty, readers young and old will again be able to "devour " books! So thank you to volunteers, employees of the Town Hall and librarians moving to BOP!

Condoms At Home Depot

La evening is assured!

Bon appetite and good reading ...

Gougères
80 g butter 80 g flour
3 eggs 40 g freshly grated Gruyere

Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Butter a baking sheet and coat it by throwing the flour over the butter, then rotating the plate fast enough so that all the flour over the butter moves and attaches. Dispose of the surplus.

In a saucepan, pour 20 ounces of water, a pinch of salt and 80 g of butter. Heat over high heat. Once the mixture begins to boil, remove from heat, discard all the 80 grams of flour at once and stir vigorously with a wooden spoon, until the device is smooth and comes off walls.

Put the pan over very low heat and continue to knead the dough for a minute or so to dry out.

Remove from heat, add eggs and 30 g of grated cheese by bringing up the air: take preparation from below, lift la cuillère et laissez la pâte retomber en emprisonnant des bulles d'air que vous devez voir cloquer.

Using a spatula or knife, peel the apples and place them on a serving platter. Serve at once: the gougeres are best hot and cold.

How Many Calories Ham And Bean Soup

"If we wanted to play in creating links among the works available to the attentive reader, one might imagine, two by two:

Two books on childhood and the relationship, sometimes tense, learning and school:
FRANCOIS CERVANTES " the back table "and E RIK ORSENNA" Grammar is a sweet song. "

Two "Giono" for the momentum towards the happiness that leads through the difficulties and even pessimism
Jean Giono "The pursuit of happiness" and "What my joy remains.

Mario Rigoni STERN "The Year of Victory" - PAUL AUDI "Picasso Picaro, Picador, Portrait of the Artist as Surmâle: two books on the energy that transforms life, when one resumed its course after the war, the other in the creative process.

Two visions, very distant from one another, the "Sacrifice of Isaac"
by WOODY ALLEN (with its irresistible humor) and ERRI DE LUCA in "Kernel olive"

An outspoken come from another century in the Letters of Isabella of Bourbon Parma "by E. Badinter and writing a caustic murders: Ambroise Bierce in "The Devil's Dictionary".

Finally, a contemporary poet, one of our neighbors (St Hippolyte du Fort): ANNE MARIE LEONARD "In the palm of our hands."

Bottom Number On Le Creuset?

La bibliothèque reçoit.

Friday, January 14 afternoon is the day of receipt the library.

Who's invited?

Three classes of Lasalle School: A kindergarten class (medium and large), two classes of elementary (CP and CE1-CE2) together with their teachers, parents and assistants and employees of school life.

No champagne, petits fours or the program, but books and stories. No ushers wear, no servers in full regalia, but volunteers to greet them.

Children who are not already come with their parents at the library, and there-discover this magical place where words create worlds.

Volunteers explain to them how it works, then they tell their stories.

Some think he should not tell stories to children. We must tell them the truth. But in these stories, these tales, there is probably more truth in our everyday perception of reality.
They listened attentively to stories read by Tammy, one of the volunteers. They found with her library books: "The bear thief merguez," "The tree that made a Princess Leila," among others ... They was also very attentive to the stories told by Gerard (another volunteer), including "The little ant," "The egg blue," "The hare and the hedgehog. " Perhaps they tell themselves to their families, their friends.

After listening, each class has prepared a time of freedom for exploring books at their disposal.

They say the book is an object overtaken by new technologies. But when you see the pleasure and concentration of children browsing or reading the books they chose. We take hope for the future of reading, even though statistics say that children stop reading about 12 years.

It was a beautiful afternoon. Each child could bring a book home, after the teacher had entered his class at the library.

appointment was made for in 3 weeks and in the meantime, the library also waiting for the arrival of toddlers to the nursery soon.

Children are the future of reading, of course.
